If you pay attention to what you're eating, you really shouldn't need vitamins. Ever since I became vegan, my nails are way healthier, although they've always been nice.
If you take any vitamins or supplements, watch out for gelatin capsules and fish oilWhat extra vitamins should a vegetarian be taking to keep hair and nails strong and healthy?
Eat healthy and get your vitamins from food. There are vitamins marketed to meat eaters as well as vegetarians who feel they need them. One vegan brand is Deva, and they have a special formula for skin, nails, and hair http://www.devanutrition.com/hair_nails_鈥?/a>What extra vitamins should a vegetarian be taking to keep hair and nails strong and healthy?
actually, fresh fruits and veggies will take care of that.. moreso than what a powdered compressed multivitamin or any pill form supplement can accomplish.
i never had to revert to those schemes...
listen folks.. the only time someone should worry about these things if.. you've got a disease, inherited condition of any mineral issue.....
or you never eat again.. ever.
For my hair and nails, I take a supplement called Biotin. It is over the counter, and it was recommended by my doctor (I get mine at Target, and it is a vegetarian formula).
There are plenty,b12 really stands out.I would really read Nourishing Traditions by sally fallon before going veggie.
none. if your not getting your nutrients from your food than you not eating what you should be. vitamin supplements will not do much for you. they're mostly a waste of money.
