Home remedies for healthy nails?

my nails are all peeling at the ends, and i constantly pick at them (its a habit i cant seem to break) any tips?Home remedies for healthy nails?
Rub Vaseline cream into your nails, and use lots of hand cream several times a day, especially after washing your hands.

To help stop picking at your nails try using nail polish - it looks awful when chipped so it might put you off doing it.

File your nails gently with a good file, always in the one direction - keep them short until they start to improve.

A good diet helps too- lots of fruit. Good luck :)Home remedies for healthy nails?
The key to healthy nails in good nutrition.

Calcium, protein and Vitamin D are essential for healthy nails.

I was totally malnourished a few years ago and lost all of my hair, and nails. I followed my nutritionist instructions and everything is getting back to normal.

By the way, if you don't have enough Vitamin D, (which I don't) you can't absorb Calcium!

Good luck
Nature's Sunshine has an herbal combination for your nails it is called HSN-W

It will make your nails strong and long. No chipping or breaking.

purchase it at www.betterherbs.com

You can also benefit by taking the herb called Horsetail. It is for your hair and nails.
I havent ever tried this, but a lady once told me that if you buy a pack of clear gelatin, mix it according to the package and soak your nails in it for 1/2 an hour weekly, its really great for nail growth and strength. Like I said, Ive never tried it, but she did and had awesome nails. Peeling at the ends is often caused by poor diet. If you eat healthy, it will show in your skin, nails and hair. Good luck!
You need to increase your intake of calcium, try a hair, nail and skin suppliment that contains calcium, biotin and silica, it is absolutely amazing and inexpensive.

Try heating a bowl of olive oil up in the microwave and soaking your fingernails in it for 10 minutes per night, this worked well for me. Afterwards just scrub it off with a nail brush and some face cleanser or exfoliator.

Vaseline is good for the cuticles.
the key to healthy nails, is a healthy diet. foods with calcium is great for your nails. also, lotion is good for them too. if you're ever applying it to your hands, arms, legs, just go ahead and rub some onto your nails.
Prenatal vitamins will quickly make your nails strong and healthy. Also, they will stop splitting and peeling, so you'll be less inclined to pick at them.
