your right, i bite my nails...Any good tips on how to keep ur nails healthy without any nail plish or anything?
well you should rub in some oil (cooking oil)

it makes them shiny

also if your nails are thick as, then i think the best time to cut them is right after a shower.
try buffing them. It is fast and easy!
i have really bad ingrowns too. you should go to a nail place to have them take care of them because they can get seriously infected and they might have to take your whole nail off. and to keep it shining. just file your nails and use a nail buffer-they're like 2 bucks at rite aid
Take Biotin.
when cutting your toe nails, cut them straight across- this will prevent the ingrown toe nails; if you have an ingrown toenail right now you have 2 choices- you can pull it out yourself or go to the dr and let him/her do it (then you can just do the maintance); to get them shiny with out polish... cut nails straight across, file in one direction then use a buffer- works great and looks very natural
The best way to make yout nails look good is to first make sure that there is no nail polish on them. then, heat up some oil or milk and rest your nails in them for five to ten minutes. Take them out and rub the oil or milk on your hands, and then rinse it off. File or cut your nails while they are still soft and push back your cuticles. Then, rub a really really rich moisturizer on your feet and nails. Tada! adorabuble nails! :D If you really want them to shine, add one coat of clear polis or nail strengthener,
I would keep them short and get them done professionally every 2 weeks for a few weeks. Afterward maintaining them yourself should be easier.
